Amenity Room – The Anchorage

The Amenity Room at The Anchorage is available at no charge to all current residents and owners. This space is ideal for hosting small, private gatherings, provided that building policies are followed.

Note: Bookings are not allowed from the May long weekend through Thanksgiving weekend.

 


💰 Booking Fees

  • $100 refundable deposit

  • $25 cleaning fee

  • Deposit will be refunded after inspection, if the room and barbecue are properly cleaned.

⏰ Booking Rules

  • Maximum booking duration: 4 hours

  • Must be booked by current residents only

  • The booking resident must be present and supervising the entire event

Repeated or consecutive bookings are limited to 3 times unless approved by the Superintendent

Bookings allowed up to 2 months in advance

 

🚫 Restrictions & Guidelines

  • No pets allowed in the room or on the balcony

  • No smoking inside or on the balcony

  • No commercial or for-profit events

  • Guests under 19 years old must be accompanied by an adult

  • Maximum occupancy: 122 people (as per HRM Fire Regulations)

  • No glassware permitted in the Courtyard

  • Events must end by:

    • 11:00 PM (Sunday–Thursday)

    • 12:00 AM (Friday–Saturday)

🧹 After Use

Residents must clean the room after their event, including:

  • Floors

  • Garbage and recyclables (properly sorted)

  • Additional cleaning charges may apply if not cleaned adequately

  • Inspections occur after each use; any damages or missing items will be charged to the resident

  • Furniture and decor must remain in the Amenity Room and Courtyard

  • Turn off fireplace and lights before leaving

🔒 Security

The Amenity Room is monitored by security cameras to ensure safe and appropriate use of the space.
