Lost and Found Procedure

  • All lost and found items found in the apartments must immediately be handed to the Housekeeping Supervisor on duty.
  • The Housekeeping Supervisor will clearly identify the item found by including the following information:
  • Apartment number.
  • Date when item was found.
  • Name of the person who found the item.
  • The Housekeeping Supervisor must immediately submit the Lost & Found task in Flexkeeping.
  • The Concierge Team must check the Lost and Found tasks on a weekly basis.
  • The Concierge Team must contact the guest who checked out of the apartment and inquire whether or not the guest would like to retrieve said item. If so, confirm how the guest would like to have the item returned.
  • If the found item is valuable, it must be handed directly to a member of the Guest Service Team for that person to contact the guest immediately. Valuable items include, but are not limited to: Passports, driving license, cash, jewelry, computers, electronics, etc.
  • The items will be kept in the company’s possession for 30 days (or longer if required by local law), after which the items will be discarded and removed from the Lost and Found Record.
  • Employees are not allowed to keep any items found in apartments unless previously authorized via email by the guest who left the item in the apartment.
