Room Move or Switch Procedures

  1. A guest cannot be switched/moved until they are checked-in.  If a guest will be moving halfway through their stay use a pencil reservation with notes explaining this and configure the move after arrival.  See the video below for RMS configuration steps - How to Configure the Room Switch in RMS
  2. The local operations team (not Concierge) are to send RMS Switch Instructions.
  3. Ensure the room is blocked the day of the switch and housekeeping is advised.  It is rare we can clean a room switch for a same day arrival (due to the time taken to switch).  
  4. On the day of the switch - the new room must be checked in and all corresponding items will move with the guest (parking, IPTV etc)
  5. After the suite ensure codes are deleted or keys collected to complete the move.  
  6. If maintenance is required - advise maintenance or building that the suite is now vacant
